Important Notice to All Customers
I need to address the issue of weekly payments for tools and equipment.
I have always tried to be as flexible as possible. I bend over backwards for people and offer some great deals, and I do feel appreciated by many of you. I don’t charge interest, and I have allowed weekly, interest-free payments to make things easier for everyone.
Unfortunately, far too many payments are now being missed or delayed. Some people are ignoring messages and calls, meaning I’m repeatedly having to visit the same businesses to collect money. This is becoming extremely stressful, time-consuming and unsustainable.
I also have people who have not paid for years. Please be aware that any outstanding debt is still live and remains payable. These debts will be pursued and collected.
Therefore, with immediate effect, the following applies:
* If your weekly payment is not made on time, a £10 late payment fee will be added.
* The van credit facility is now closed.
* You take the tools, you pay for the tools.
* There will be no more ongoing weekly interest-free credit arrangements unless specifically agreed with me in advance.
I appreciate that this may affect some people, and I genuinely apologise to the guys who religiously pay me on time every week — you know who you are, and I really do appreciate it.
However, this now has to apply across the board.
I have suppliers who need paying every week. I have business expenses and bills to cover, and it has reached the point where I’m sometimes going without paying myself because I’m waiting for money that should already have been paid.
On top of that, I have personal debts left from my previous business partnership, as well as substantial legal bills that still need to be dealt with.
I’m not asking for anything unreasonable.
All I’m asking is that you pay your bill every week, as agreed.
I have tried to be understanding and accommodating, but I can no longer continue chasing payments at the expense of my time, my business and my own finances.
